Amantle Samane’s alleged killer’s bail application postponed

JOHANNESBURG – Police say they have a watertight case against Phethe Simiao.
The Mozambican national is accused of raping and killing six-year-old Amantle Samane in Soweto.
The accused briefly appeared in the Protea Magistrate’s Court or a bail application.
The case has been postponed while the 24-year-old receives medical attention, following claims of assault while in police custody.
